Change Microsoft Word Measurement From Inches To Centimeter | Step-by-Step Instruction

By default display measurement units of Office 2010 including Word 2010 is set to show in Inches. Incase you want to change that to cm(Centimeter) in Word 2010 to show all measurements in cm without manually converting them, this small guide would be helpful. This simple guide shows how to change Inches to cm in Word 2010.

For example, if I have measurements for a label in cm, and I need to create that by using Word 2010 which is set to show in Inches, definitely I will have tough time. Width, height, margins and even paper size will be shown in Inches. To make the creation easy, its better to change the display option to cm.

Here is the example displayed in Inches

1) Click on File and choose Options.

2) Click on Advanced and go to Display options as shown below.

Change the measurements Unit size from Inches to Centimeters (cm). More options also available here. Press OK at end of the box.

3) After the above change, all measurements units will be shows in cm in Word 2010 as you can see in the second screenshot above.

Anytime, you can go to same settings and change back to Inches or other units.
