In this post i would like to list some of the comparisons which i (personally) found out between Samsung SGS II and LG Optimus 2X. • Samsung Galaxy S II has a 4.3 inches attractive Super AMOLED screen, whereas LG Optimus 2X has 4.0 inches LCD screen. (Note that AMOLED is an advanced version of screen).
• Samsung Galaxy S II Looks are very sleek and the back cover is also very attractive.
• Samsung Galaxy S II has light weight: 116 grams compared to 139 grams of LG Optimus 2X.
• As what users have said, the accessibility Speed with Samsung Galaxy S II is simply mind-blowing & touch is just like flowing water.
• Samsung Galaxy S II has an inbuilt memory of 16 GB compared to 8 GB inbuilt memory of LG Optimus 2X. No doubt, both can be extended to 32 GB. But inbuilt memory also matters.
• 1 GB RAM of Samsung Galaxy S II compared to 512 MB RAM of LG Optimus 2X, does matter.

But both Samsung Galaxy S II and LG Optimus 2X  did have battery longevity problems, lasting for 8- 12 hours. But remember, Samsung Galaxy S II has a better screen resolution, better screen resolution takes more battery power. And note, there are battery booster application available for download from Android market that can help to save battery for some extent.
