Web browsing is the No. 1 thing people do on their Windows-based PC, and as such, they increasingly expect the same experience they associate with their PC applications from their favorite Web-based e-mail service, photo site or social network site.
This kind of immersible experience does not occur on the Web today, and using a browser is often associated with limited performance and interactivity. Microsoft developed Windows Internet Explorer 9 to help change this.
I noticed that many people have been having trouble un-installing Internet Explorer 9.0 Beta. This is because Internet Explorer 9.0 does not show up in the add/remove programs page. Microsoft is not too good in this regard. Anyhow, Need not be afraid, here is a quick and easy way to remove it.
Directions:
- Press the Windows Key and type "view updates" (with no quotes) in the windows search box. Note: Or you can press Windows Key+R and paste "C:Windowsexplorer.exe shell:::{d450a8a1-9568-45c7-9c0e-b4f9fb4537bd}" (with no quotes) and press enter.
- After the entire uninstall list finishes loading (this can take some time) look for "Windows Internet Explorer 9" in the list.
- Select Windows Internet Explorer 9 and click the uninstall button. Hit ok to confirm.
- Congrats you no longer have Internet Explorer 9.0. I recommend that you reboot your computer now.
Hope you enjoyed testing the beta.
