In simple terms, if any of the website failed to load on Internet Explorer 9, this article will let you know how to view it or in other case, how to get back to Internet explorer 8 by un installing Internet Explorer 9.
For example, your corporate website or even your bank online system will not be compatible with Internet Explorer 9. In such case, what to do?
Solution:
First, have you tried compatibility mode on the site?. I recommend you to read my other post on Why Can’t I View Some Websites In Internet Explorer 9.
Also you can try going to the site and pressing F12 and change the Browser mode to IE8 (See the below screen shot). Once you opened the website on Internet Explorer 9, Click on F12 on your keyboard, and you will get a pop under window just as you see in this screen shot, there try to choose Internet explorer and try if that works.
if the above two does not work for you, you need to go back to Internet Explorer 8. And to do so, just follow the steps below.
- To uninstall IE9, go to the Control Panel.
- Then select Programs and Features.
- Then View installed updates on the left.
- Go down the List and select Internet Explorer 9
- Then click on Uninstall.
That’s it, restart your Windows PC and you will get your old Internet Explorer 8 For you. But, what I recommend is, you keep Internet Explorer 9. So that you can use the latest and more secured web browser for all other web sites. And lets wait for the Bank or corporate to get the sites doing well for Internet Explorer 9. Mean time, you can use a different browser that your bank supports--Firefox, or whatever browser you like.
