Windows Media Center on Windows 7 says no Internet access detected even though you can able to connect to the internet for browsing web pages. Before you continue troubleshooting this fix, make sure you are able to browse internet pages on the system in which you are experiencing this error.
And make sure you were you able to connect to the internet any time earlier using Windows Media Center. If this is the first time you are using Windows Media Center, try to follow the below steps to fix this issue.
Possible Solutions:
- 1. Start Your media center and choose settings

Method 1: Disable And Enable Media Center:
You may disable and then enable Windows Media Center on expanding Media features from the Windows on or off features option and check if this resolves the issue. You will have to disable the feature then click ok. Now open Windows Media Center and check. Again you may enable the Windows Media Center and check if you face the same issue.

Method 2: See If you can succeed in another user account in the same Windows 7 Machine.
You may check if you face the same issue in different user account or new user account. You may create a new user account on your computer and then check.

If you are getting any error message while connecting to the Internet , try the following troubleshooting steps.
Step 1:
As you are getting a message that error connecting to Internet, it might be because Media Center is having trouble detecting it. Try going through the Set up Internet Connection wizard and check if this helps -
On the Windows Media Center start screen, scroll to Tasks, click Settings, click General, click Windows Media Center Setup, click Set Up Internet Connection, and then follow the instructions.
