Troubleshoot Sound Problem On Internet Explorer

Do you have problems with Sound on windows with windows explorer 8? When you are trying to watch a video online or to listen audio or even some on-line news video, the computer will play personal off-line cd recording instead of the online media.

This problem arise only on Internet Explorer and not on other browses in the same Operating System.

The videos will play fine, without any sound,  in fact any video (news,  emails with video etc.) will not play any sound anymore.  If you want to have a quick fix, try to install another Internet Browser, say Google Chrome and you must get out of internet explorer, and temporarily make Chrome your default browser / search engine to make the sound portion work, and it will works fine through Chrome.

• Check the option to “Play sounds in webpage”.
• Follow the path below and check the option mentioned above.
• a. Open Internet Explorer>Select Internet Options from the drop down menu
• b. Under Tools>Select Advanced>
• c. Scroll down to Multimedia>
• d. Check mark the option “Play sounds in webpage”

Step 2:

• I'd suggest you optimize Internet Explorer settings on your computer and check if that helps.
