Have you every faced this type of problem, pressing a key on the keyboard says a different symbol or a value that is not what we typed.
Ya, it happens sometime even If we have the latest chip, software and also Windows 7 and when we try to load or play a game, say keys w, a, s, and d are the movement keys when we press w it shows we pressed 1 when we press w again it it shows we pressed 2 etc.Is there any solution for this?
Solution:
- The keyboard will be recognized by the BIOS during POST and report or halt if there is an error or keyboard missing.
- We would recommend that we shut down the computer and unplug the power supply(or switch it off) before changing keyboards.
- Even if they are USB type connections, but especially a PS\2 connection, a hot swap is not a good idea.
- Try the change powered off and reboot.
