Offline Files Service Problem In Windows 7 | Windows Could Not Start The Offline Files Service

This problem occurs when you Upgrade your windows using Windows Anytime Upgrade. The Offline Files Service will be listed in Windows services, but when trying to start it, it will just go for a bit and then it will give an error stating that the file can not be found.

"Windows could not start the Offline Files service on Local Computer. Error 3: The system cannot find the path specified."

The Windows\csc folder is completly empty (No files). This will help windows to index a network folder and to use as an addition to the "My Documents" Library.

Please remember, You can’t start the Offline files service via Service Manager. And this is how you have to start and manage your Offline Files Services In Windows 7

You may try the following steps to open the Offline files feature.

Click the Start Menu. Then type Offline files in the search box.
Then Click the Manage Offline files in the search result.
Hit Enable Offline files.

Unfortunately the proposed solution is totally useless as that is the *first* procedure that was attempted. If one has not experienced the problem and come up with a proven solution one should not pollute the Intenet Google results with non-solution comments. thank you.

hi, I've the same problem, after I installed the upgrade to 8.1 The problem with the service offline files start!
I try to start the service manualy but it return error 3
If I try from the control panel, the phrase tell " service activated please restart your pc " but when I restart the phrase not disappear....
I've 5 different new pc with 8.1 and they have the same problem!!
