The LG Optimus 2X is the world's first Tegra-2 phone which is a dual-core processor that will run Android 2.2 (and 2.3 upon upgrade) at lightning speeds.

First Dual-Core Phone Available To The Public: LG Optimus 2X indeed is the world’s first dual-core smartphone (both announced and released). This achievement was acknowledged by the Guinness World Records.

The phone was rushed a bit and was released with Android 2.2 instead of later with Android 2.3. When compared to the other dual code phones, the Optimus 2X started looking somewhat unfinished and incomplete. Various bugs, and excessive battery drainage and the lack of Android 2.3 Gingerbread are somewhat of deal breakers.

More power to LG for this, but I think back when Samsung came out with the Omnia HD being the first phone capable of HD recording and playback it was a much bigger stand point in the mobile world.

My question on Optimus 2x as a gaming phone got completely overshadowed as a result.

Symbian (at its current state atleast) wont be able to fully utilize 1ghz CPUs. It is meant to be slow yet resource efficient. It's just living undead.

Nokia lost momentum when the touchscreen revolution began. They invest way more on research and development and it still takes them 2 years to make a good touch based web browser.

2x is more powerful for a gamer who'd also do other stuff with it and seems easier to handle.

Nokia is much popular but technically they lack behind. Popularity is one thing, technical advancement is another. For the average geek like me, the latter holds more importance. Nokia is struggling to catch up on the Smart Phone market. Right now, Nokia is replacing their previous board members with newer ones. Also, they are focusing on cheaper S^3 phones as well as WP7 phones. They are struggling polishing MeeGO OS as they are only planning on releasing 1 MeeGO model this year.

Fact File: The 5800 XpressMusic was released on April 27, 2008 and it sold over 8 million units by November 2009. It took Nokia 19 months to sell that much while the Samsung Galaxy S I9000 was released in June 2010 and sold 10 million units by January 2011 and Apple sold 18 million iPhones last quarter alone. That's 18 million iPhones in just 3 months.

Nokia N8 Suffers From Purple Screen Defect:

Nokia may be popular but that's because people living in populous nations thinks Nokia is still the best. Nokia has gone down the hill and Nokia can't even get the purple screen defect fixed. That's how bad Nokia has come down when it comes to quality. Almost all Nokia N8 is affected by this defect. They admitted the defect on the N8 but they don't have a fix for it. Check it out. It's pathetic.

Its also bad to underestimate NOKIA. Because when all leading brand have touch screen phone in their bag then Nokia is the last one to introduce touch screen phones and when it launch touch phones it is loved and successful to some extend. And when Samsung(Pixon 12) and Sony Erikssonz (satio) have 12mp Xenon flash camera phones in their bag then again Nokia is the last one to introduce 12 MP camera phone with lots of new features in Nokia N8.

Also For example, Sony Ericsson is very poor on battery when compared to Nokia. what’s d essence of having a phone wit no good charge span. I hope Sony Ericsson will improve on that because that’s what suffering from my w810i, with 3 batteries, it still doesn’t last 24hrs. LG Optimus Pad: An 8.9" screen hits the sweet spot for tablets and LG's Optimus Pad shows good thinking. The first tablet of the company will want to make a difference among more or less uniform rivals. Tablets coming to the market look almost the same - screens, hardware, OS. There is very little room for experiment, but LG are keen to disagree.

3D is more of a fun show-off feature to have on the side - but LG has taken that very, very seriously. We already met with and were impressed by the Optimus 3D smartphone. Its tablet sibling didn't get an actual 3D screen, but it can take 3D stills and videos. Anaglyph 3D viewing is enabled with a standard pair of polarized glasses.

The Optimus Pad is based on the powerful NVIDIA Tegra 2 chipset - the only one currently compatible with the Android 3 Honeycomb (though this is supposed to change with the upcoming 3.2 update). So, on top of the ordinary Full HD video capture, you get 720p 3D video. At one point users of the Optimus Pad will want to consider the Optimus 3D smartphone. If they haven't already got themselves an LG 3D TV set.

Here are some thing you should really know before buying an LG Optimus Pad. Unlike the Apple iPad, you cant remove the battery on LG Optimus Pad.

What about da 3D playback. Can we see 3D videos on the device with the glasses or do we have to connect to another 3D Display?

And about the 3D recording and playback, you do need glasses to see the 3D content. Otherwise you have to share it with the Optimus 3D to see the images without glasses.

I read sumwhere that the playback wasnt that good and everything looked green when a 3D video is played. Its because you need the 3D Glass to feel the real effect.

You need to have the Quick Office Application Available in your device to view or edit documents. Quick office is available for purchase only for v905 not v901. Hopefully it will be available soon.

LG Optimus Pad is the tablet with no GSM voice communication capabilities. And that is the reason why the specification regarding the talk-time is inadequate.

• 2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
• 3G Network HSDPA 900 / 2100
  

This 2G and 3G specification is related only to the data communication and not to the voice communication. Thus, this unit can't make phone calls but you can use Skype. Again the down fall is that it doesn't use video call for Skype neither.

Next is the price, the expected price was over 1000 euros and that is almost double than the new iPad 2. LG really have to cut half the price!

But the fact is, they wont cut the price until the next 3D Tablet out in the market. It's going to be the same strategy for price positioning Samsung used for delaying the Galaxy Pad launch in few countries to support the local brand launch ahead with slightly lower specification which uses the same processor from Foxcon.

If you have enough bugs, go ahead or just be patient and wait for so called competitor launch of 3D Tablet and when Apple releases iPad3, maybe LG will drop their price by 60%

If you have looked at the design of the LG Optimus Pad  you may ask this question, why  dual camera in backside. Well, its for the 3D effect, just like the Nintendo DSi 3D.

Well, over all, LG Optimus Pad with 1 GB Ram has full support for adobe flash player.  Hopefully if it is cheaper, it’s the best to have.

There's a world of difference between a mid-distance TV viewing and a close-range phone. We have understood the difference between the Actual TV and the small mobile device, and taking all that into account this review is prepared.

LG Optimus 3D using paralax effect but how will it be different this time around. We are yet to feel and see this one. And will it last? As few people have expressed their dis regret on 3D Model.

On the 3D note, Few have reported that they get a headache after using the 3D camera for more than five or ten minutes due to the way it displays the picture. The 3D content on the LG Optimus 3D is much better, with clearer images that are far less brash.

Meego is really good but now they are not supporting it fully. So what if it catches on this 3D and lets say 50 million people like it but then manufacturers cease production as technology moves ahead.

As of now, this mobile is awful to get something you like and its a one off. I really hope this smartphone succeeds and slowly 3D becomes quite commonplace.

As most of the other smart phones, LG Optimus 3D also lacks battery stand by time. I don't understand why cellphone companies release such powerful phones that barely last a day. If you are a gamer, you can play them for 30 minutes before my phone dies.

Seriously, LG Optimus 3D supports just 1500 MAH battery on a 3D phone is really a joke and  its not enough. Of course, the major problem with LG Optimus 3D is battery life. Though EVO 3D is not much better too. There must be some software upgrades to solve it or else u will need a 2000MAH battery to gain a happy face.

Its main advantage over HTC EVO 3d is its screen resolution. Since gingerbread Operating System and most of the android apps are not optimised for GHD resolution, LG Optimus 3D is better choice.

Note that, HTC is known for smart business class phones, they are not known for camera phones. Good old LG cookie snap gives better snaps than HTC Desire.

The Ram in LG Optimus 3D is dual channel 512X2 = 1024 it has best Ram in the phone market.

3D is simply a gimmick in LG Optimus 3D. However, not all movies are good watching at 3D. 3D-movies are cool once in a while, but most movies are not made for 3d Technology. And those have problems to fill TWO dimensions with something interesting.

80° of 3d viewing angle in LG Optimus 3D before it does the annoying hologram effect. Not the star wars hologram effect, its like one of those cards that change image as you look at it from a different angle. From what i saw, the 3d doesn't pop out, but it pops in like looking out of a window at the grand canyon.

What I like about this phone is 3D both capturing and viewing. And Dual Core, Dual Channel, and Dual memory. It will outperform all smartphone out there in market.

• Samsung Galaxy S II has a 4.3 inches attractive Super AMOLED screen, whereas LG Optimus 2X has 4.0 inches LCD screen. (Note that AMOLED is an advanced version of screen).
• Samsung Galaxy S II Looks are very sleek and the back cover is also very attractive.
• Samsung Galaxy S II has light weight: 116 grams compared to 139 grams of LG Optimus 2X.
• As what users have said, the accessibility Speed with Samsung Galaxy S II is simply mind-blowing & touch is just like flowing water.
