Welcome to the download page for the Windows 10 Technical Preview. The Windows 10 January Technical Preview is the first glimpse of Microsoft’s newest Operating System Windows 10.
Some have speculated that the software will be called “The Windows 10 January Technical Preview for Enterprise” to reflect the business focus of this new Operating System.
Microsoft is pulling out all the stops to make sure that Windows 10 is the best desktop operating system since Windows 7, and that means adding features straight from the Windows Phone.
The company recently released a new build for the operating system, and guess what? It is packing the much talked about Action Center.
We are expecting several versions of the software to be released by Microsoft for testing. While some have speculated that Microsoft would move away from 32 bit processing and only have 64 bit versions of the Operating System, that is very unlikely.

The safest way to install the Windows 10 Technical Preview for testing is to install it as a (virtual machine) VM. Installing the software as a VM will give it limited access to your system and allow you upgrade to the next Windows 9 Preview safely and efficiently.
A virtual machine (VM) is a software implementation of a computing environment in which an operating system (OS ) or program can be installed and run.
Basically a VM allows you to install several Operating Systems on your Mac or PC but have them run virtually. That way you can test new features, and can learn creating / installing new OS, Upgrade and delete them easily without affecting your regular machine or PC.
